Approaching a destination

It’s a continuous process. For me, I never really arrive. I mean I get there, but then I have to keep on moving on to bigger and better things. [end pithy trope right there]

I know, quit being so obtuse, Alex. All right, I had a novel idea (you see what I did there, right?) and it’s going to be number seventeen, and the third standalone. I’m a little bit funny about throwing out titles and detailed plots before publication, so I’m just going to have to sit on it for now. It’s in the hands of my editor, and I expect to be releasing it late spring or early summer.

Oh the picture. That is the gate entrance to Hilltop 88 in Marin County. A common location featured in some of the Bruce Highland series novels. It’s one of over a hundred cookie cutter former Nike missile radar target tracking sites, and one of the few that hasn’t been razed completely to the ground. You see the buildings inside on the cover of Gauthier’s List, and it’s within view of the aerial shot that serves as The Gatekeepers cover backdrop. Quite a few full bottles of wine have been surreptitiously ported up there and covertly emptied.
